During the first 2-3 days after applying cosmetic eyebrow technique, you will have swelling, redness and soreness in the area of your recently used makeup. It’s important to pamper yourself with new makeup and keep a protective veil of petroleum jelly over the affected area. It prevents the scab from forming and drying out, which can “take out” the newly implanted colour. Always wear sunglasses and sunscreen when outdoors.
How to speed up the healing of eyebrows after cosmetic tattoo
Use a base soap (for your skin type) and no moisturizers for a few days before your procedure. Do not pump makeup for 2 hours before cosmetic tattoo. Check with your doctor and permanent makeup specialist before taking any medication before your appointment. Eat well before your procedure.

Eyebrow care after Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo
When your new makeup is complete, it will appear too dark. It is temporary. You can see pigment in both layers of your skin (epidermis and dermis). The top layer of your skin sheds and renews itself every few days, and with this natural process, the pigment in the top layer will flake off. This initial dark look won’t last long. Only the colour in the dermis (second layer of the skin) will prevail. If you are happy with your new permanent makeup colour and darkness when you leave your first session, your eyebrows will heal within one to three weeks. For this reason, you must be patient and allow your skin to heal.
Care tips after Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo
Ice packs with cold bags can apply to the brows to reduce inflammation. You can use petroleum jelly to keep your brows dry. Cool packs should not apply for more than twenty minutes at a time and a twenty-minute break in between.
Eyebrow tattoo healing stages
Cold packs to the treatment area can use for the first 24 hours.
It would help if you massaged your brows every four hours with cotton balls and water for the first 24 hours to remove any blood and avoid scab.
Keep water away from eyebrows in the shower, rinse gently with regular gentle facial cleanser and water.
A thin layer of petroleum jelly should be kept on the eyebrows 24 hours a day for 7-14 days.
Do not pick up scabs, or the colour will be lost.
Avoid sun exposure or swimming for two weeks. When walking in the sun, use SPF 45 to protect your face.
Take Advil or Tylenol as needed for comfort.
You can shower the day after your procedure as usual.
Removing Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo
There are three ways to reduce or “lighten” the pigment molecules from the skin: topical, non-laser solutions applied with a tattoo gun and laser. All three of these methods have their place in your practice and can consider for different circumstances.
Removing Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo using unique products
Many lotions marketed as “tattoo removal creams,” but I have not come across any clinical studies showing their effectiveness without combining a laser. I have personally found them ineffective because they cannot penetrate the dermis to get to the tattoo ink.
There is also evidence that using imiquimod with a laser is more effective than a laser alone. Before laser treatments, I discovered that there were alternative topical methods that could help with pigment removal. If the cosmetic tattoo is under six months old, I use a simple technique of applying acceptable sea salt to the area and gently exfoliating twice a day for two months, which draws out the ink. I have found that this can cut the number of laser treatments required in half, but it is only effective with new tattoos as the ink settles after about six months.
Non-laser solutions
A trained permanent makeup artist performs these treatments, and there are many options for the same treatment. Removal can achieve by opening the skin – in a way very similar to the original procedure – with a tattoo or cosmetic tattoo.
A binder is then applied to the exposed skin, attracting the ink to the skin’s surface. Binders can be anything from salt or glycolic acid to any number of branded products readily available to cosmetic tattoo and tattoo artists.
In my experience, one session is equivalent to two months of topical exfoliation. I have found this method popular with artisans who do not have access to lasers and is especially useful in removing skin colour pigment due to its large molecular size. However, the limitation approach is that, as a rule, the rate of scar formation is much higher. Then that of a laser since it causes damage to the epidermis.
Using a laser to remove Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo
Lasers widely accepted as the most common treatment for the extraction of pigment from the skin. Therefore, it widely used to remove cosmetic tattoo. I do not recommend removing a tattoo that has done within six months. There is a higher concentration of ink, which would mean that the patient will need more laser sessions, and the laser itself will react more violently, even at lower power settings, as it is more attracted to the ink molecules.
It leads to more aggressive treatment, which increases the chances of scarring. Cosmetic tattoo pigments are different in composition to tattoo inks as they made from other ingredients. Therefore, it is crucial to understand how makeup ink will react when exposed to a laser.
The two main things to consider when removing pigments for cosmetic tattoo are whether the stain contains titanium dioxide (white) and the size of the molecule.
Reviews of Cosmetic Eyebrow Tattoo
The main thing is to choose the right master. I approached this responsibly. A trained technician should properly use local anesthesia to numb pain, especially when working near delicate areas such as lips and eyes, where one wrong move can be costly.
Aside from mild pain after the procedure, side effects are rare with a trained healthcare professional supervising physician care. The most significant risk is usually dissatisfaction with the result — as this service is growing in popularity, so are technicians with little experience offering treatment.
Cosmetic tattoo can be incredible, but it’s essential to meet with a technician ahead of time and keep looking until you find your master.
Cosmetic tattoo saved me a lot of time. I’m allergic to makeup, so it was the only way to look pretty.
I admit I have experienced redness or inflammation after cosmetic tattoo, but this is not a reason to avoid it. The result is worth it.
